Le film “SHEPHERD OF ICE” se déroule au Ladakh, à l'extrème nord de l'Inde, sur les hauts plateaux de Gya dans les montagnes hymalayennes. La vallée de Meru est balayée par des vents glaciaux, entre 4500m-6000m d'altitude, les temperatures peuvent descendre jusqu'à -40.

The film… will watch and listen as "Tsering" struggles, overcomes or gives up, marvels or sympathizes, and ultimately loves and LIVES.
…She talks about the sorrows of winter – the hunger, the dying animals, the fear, her encounters with leopards, lynx, and wolves. Yet on climbing to another pasture we will greet the sun and her friends the plants.
